Happy 21th To Me!

Happy 44th Birthday to Singapore! And Happy 21th to me!
Nothing spectacular to mark this special occasion.
Cos i did not get the bloody tickets for this year's NDP.
But most importantly,
i wasnt on duty for the parade today!
=D

Today, I got this bailey's cake from pines garden.
Freaking expensive!
(According to my standards anyway..)
Heard lots about the bakery.
Their cakes were supposed to be yummy-licious.
Well, in the end...
Not a single slice of the cake was left as of now. Lol.
Actually i couldnt tell where they added the bailey into,
but the cake was delicious enough without a strong bailey's taste.

The only awful stuff which happen was..
I might be posted to 48SAR!
Its supposed to be more xiong than my current unit.
But who knows,
maybe i can be as fit as the tekong me again.
*keeps all my fingers + toes crossed*

Why 8.22pm?

Photobucket

Since my unit has been involved with this year's NDP, we have already come to know about the 8.22pm recite pledge thingy. However, nobody could actually pinpoint the reason why this particular timing was chosen.

One of my friends told me that it was the time when LKY declared Singapore as an independant nation 44 years ago! I did not know what got into me cos i believed him for a moment. Bull$hit~

And to my disappointment, this was what i found after coaxing google to give me the answer.

"So, why 8.22?
We did think of 8.44 since it
is our 44th National Day this year.
But it was too late in the show. We
thought of 8.09 in honour of 9th
August, but that would have been too early.
As our parade and show started shaping up,
it looked as if it would be around 8.20 pm or
so when we would be reciting Our Pledge.
So after some profound discussions and
sophisticated calculations, we concluded that
8.22 sounds rather cool… So there it is.
Do join us and be part of a magical and
special moment for all of us Singaporeans.
8.22.
Our Pledge Moment. Join us. Be there."

Somebody slap me please.

They Say that in the Army...

7 months into the army,
and im still alive and kicking.

First 3 months
If you had first asked me what i had wanted to be,
i would have told you:
I want to become a Specialist.

But as fate shall decide,
i failed my ippt by 1 pull up,
and ended up at nee soon camp,
to become a combat medic.

Following 3 months
At combat medic course,
I overcame my fear of needles,
and gained the gut to prick others.
10 IVs later,
i finally graduated as a combat medic.

And beyond...
Seek, Save, Serve!
The motto of the medics.
And what i shall be doing
for the rest of my NS life,
at one of the most ulu place in Singapore
called Sungei Gedong Camp.

Warehouse Phobia

Oh no...
Been posted to the warehouse again on monday and tuesday,
because the stocks were messed up when we pack-up after the event.

T.T
But for the sake of money...

Last day at Isetan

Last day of work at Isetan!
Some people are just plainly ret@rds,
they either cant think or left their brains at home.

1st group of people:
*flips and digs in the pile of clothes*
Me: "Hi, Can i help?"
*shakes head and continue scavenging the clothes*
*leaves after they are satisfied with the mess they caused*
2nd group of people:
XYZ: " Do you have size M for this?"
Me: "Im sorry. Its already sold out"*
XYZ proceeds to dig through the pile of clothes*
*finally leaves when everything is a mess and there is no MEDIUM SIZE"

And last but not least, another classic example of people w/o brains:
A group of fuckers had brought all their stocks,
stuffed it in front of the cargo lift area
to stick the price tags.
It caused a MASSIVE jam
as we were trying to unload all our stuff to the loading bay,
and others trying to use the lift.
STUPID RET@RDED A$$HOLES WHO CANT THINK

Its because of these people
that websites like STOMP existed
to make dull and boring lifes
fun and amusing.

Working is so fun....

New Job!

Finally...

Sales at some Fila event.

Its super cheap labour.

Dont even ask.

Fila shoes anyone?

psp is a total waste of $$

2 VERY GOOD reasons to own a ps3,

and not a fanciful, "non-ipod" mp3 player A.K.A...

I wonder what got into my mind when i bought this. Somebody kill me please.
